Iyiola Oladunjoye is a 2022 Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters’ Candidate in Leading International Vaccinology Education and also the One Health Research Coordinator at Rouleaux Foundation.

In his post on linkedIn, he said “With much gratitude to my mentors and lecturers, funders and colleagues, families and friends, I am extremely elated to announce that I have begun a new chapter in my life as an Erasmus+ Joint Master Student of the Leading International Vaccinology Education (LIVE) programme fully-funded by the European Union.” He has been part of the executive of Rouleaux Foundation for 4 years now where he has worked in the capacity of One Health research coordinator.
The Master LIVE is a joint project between five prestigious universities in three European countries, each one awarding a Master’s degree of excellence. These universities include;
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain
Universitat de Barcelona, Spain
University of Antwerp, Belgium
Universite Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France
Universite Jean Monnet Saint-Etienne, France
The LIVE programme provides students with an advanced understanding of Immunology, Infectiology, Vaccinology, but also legislation, health policy and humanities around vaccinology.
Having being awarded three (3) fully-funded PhDs offers in the United States including Erasmus+ Scholarships for two (2) programmes; LIVE and Infectious Diseases and One Health (IDOH) in addition to being a West African Rhodes Trust Scholarship Finalist, he specifically chose Master LIVE due to keen interest in tackling antimicrobial resistance by proffering vaccine solutions to priority resistance pathogens.
In the coming years, he hopes to gain much more extensive knowledge and education geared towards tackling AMR and building capacity for African Vaccine Manufacturing, which he is very much passionate about.
He went on to say “I’ll be starting my first semester in Barcelona, Spain but had a great integration week at Lyon, France where I connected with other students from different countries, visited Chef Square to prepare a pastry called Choux and toured a UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Basilique Notre Dame de Fourvière.”
